First Ever "Virtual Expo", more MLB silliness and Kyrie Irving main events FIGHT ISLAND! | UNP 58

Episode 58 has Carlos and Dave giving some more Project 2020 updates including expressing their disappointment in Fucci.

Carlos also explains the first-ever “Sport Card Expo: Virtual Edition”, that he virtually attended. He explains how this first run could be a start for potential future iterations of trade shows and other events that have some commerce.

The guys then discuss Major League Baseball’s undying attempts to permanently damage the sport, the continued alienation, and malcontentdom (it's a word now) of Kyrie Irving, Carlos then presents an alternate reality where Kyrie Irving arranges to fight Mickey Mouse with the help of a Lopez brother and potentially ends up in the main event of FIGHT ISLAND VII! (Trust me, it makes more sense if you listen to the end and bask in the silliness).

By the time you’re done, you’ll know more than you wanted to know about the program, Fucci, and how serious Carlos takes the importance of piers if a place is to be considered respectable.

Episode 50 is a special solo-pod, available in both audio and video form on the YouTube channel.

Carlos spends some more time talking about Dana White’s ill-advised, but entertaining “Fight Island” concept, how his desperation to go back to putting on shows compares to Vince McMahon’s desperation to go back to full-time live programming. (Note: WWE has now gotten itself an exemption in Florida as an “essential service,” giving it a legal out for continuing to fly in talent and doing live shows during the “Stay at home” order).

Following up with the Vince McMahon connection there is a discussion on the initial suspension and subsequent Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by the XFL, some background on the original iteration of the league, it’s attempted resurrection and how it was ultimately doomed this time by forces beyond its control after seemingly getting it right this time.
